Dr. Ahmet Sayar is a faculty member at Kocaeli University, Department of Computer Engineering. He received his B.S. in Management Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU), his M.S. in Computer Science from Syracuse University, and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Indiana University. He has worked at Istanbul Gas Distribution Company (IGDAS) in Turkey, Los Alamos National Laboratories (LANL), and NASA Jet Propulsion Labs (JPL) in the USA. He has been involved as a researcher, executive, or consultant in more than 50 projects supported by institutions such as the USA National Science Foundation (NSF), the Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), and the Scientific Research Projects at Kocaeli University (BAP). He has served as a member of the advisory board and executive board of TUBITAK. He was a member of the Research and Development (R&amp;D) projects evaluation board at Kocaeli Province Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB) and a member of the board of directors at Kocaeli University Institute of Science and Technology. He is currently working as a faculty member at the Kocaeli University Computer Engineering Department. His current research interests are distributed systems, data science, big data, artificial intelligence, image processing, data-intensive computing, geographic information systems, and intelligent He received his B.S. in Management Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU), his M.S. in Computer Science from Syracuse University, and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Indiana University. He has worked at Istanbul Gas Distribution Company (IGDAS) in Turkey, Los Alamos National Laboratories (LANL), and NASA Jet Propulsion Labs (JPL) in the USA. He has been involved as a researcher, executive, or consultant in more than 50 projects supported by institutions such as the USA National Science Foundation (NSF), the Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), and the Scientific Research Projects at Kocaeli University (BAP). He has served as a member of the advisory board and executive board of TUBITAK. He was a member of the Research and Development (R&amp;D) projects evaluation board at Kocaeli Province Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB) and a member of the board of directors at Kocaeli University Institute of Science and Technology. He is currently working as a faculty member at the Kocaeli University Computer Engineering Department. His current research interests are distributed systems, data science, big data, artificial intelligence, image processing, data-intensive computing, geographic information systems, and intelligent traffic systems.
